The 14th Bernd-Spiessl-Symposium took place at the University Hospital Basel, Zentrum für Lehre und Forschung (ZLF), 14 – 16 June 2018. The Symposium is one of the leading conferences for Innovative and Visionary Technologies in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. The congress had the theme “Innovation meets Art”, which was presented by music improvisation and a guided Art Basel Tour as an integrative part of the conference.evention and Public Health.
The concept unites practical science with highly qualitative academic value, which is recognisable in its diversity on topics such as Face & Identity, Next Generation of Education, Smart Implants, Internet of the Body, Robotics, 3D Printing and many more. These interesting topics led to intensive discussions towards the end of the sessions. Subsequent sessions as well as lunch and coffee were not able to start on time. The delay in the programme even risked a temporary overlap with the social events planned in the evening.
HOW CONGREX MASTERED IT
A time schedule was drawn up in advance, considering possible delays. To master the situation we worked closely together with the catering team and external suppliers. An ongoing dialogue about the situation has finally led to a smooth flow. Due to this, the delegates were able to experience the whole conference, network on social events and visit the exhibition in the session breaks.
