SGAIM Spring Conference 2018
We greatly appreciate the many years of cooperation and partnership with the Swiss Society of General Internal Medicine (SGAIM) and are delighted that we were once again able to support them at their 2018 spring congress in Basel. With over seven thousand members, SGAIM is the largest medical association in Switzerland and unites physicians who work with both inpatients and outpatients.
Simplifying the Registration Process: In 1984 we supported SGAIM for the first time in organising its annual congress. This has resulted in a long-lasting partnership. The challenge here is to meet the high expectations of the client and to build on the success of previous years. Our aim this year was to make sure the registration process was particularly smooth and problem-free.
How Congrex mastered it
A customised registration web site was created in German and French, with over a hundred different courses for which the participants could register. When the delegates arrived at the conference, self-print stations were ready for them to scan their e-confirmation directly from their smart-phones / tablets or from a print-out. After obtaining their conference badge they then moved to the congress materials counter. Non-registered attendees went to the dedicated self registration area. Every delegate could also register via a mobile device at any time. Session access was controlled electronically with the use of a bar-code on participant’s badges. At the end of the conference, the CME certificates could be printed on-site by scanning the bar-code. A dedicated team was on-site the entire time to help with any questions or problems with registration.
