On the 10th of December 2024, the whole Congrex team came together for the 6th Kaizen Event, the last internal session of the year dedicated to improvement. The event took place in the office break room and aimed to reflect on current practices, develop new ideas for 2025 and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Kaizen, a Japanese term meaning ‘change for the better’, emphasises our commitment to continuous improvement that promotes innovation and operational excellence.
Purpose and Highlights
The Kaizen Event is designed to inspire, engage, and empower employees to identify opportunities for growth. This session focused on group discussions on key topics such as operational efficiency, automation, reliability, and innovative ways to share knowledge through Kaizen TED Talks.
Group Discussions and Topics
Each group was assigned one of the following focus areas:
- Elimination of unnecessary tasks: Identify areas of inefficiency, redundancy, or waste within our processes.
- Automatization: Create a list of at least 10 things that should be automated in 2025.
- Act: Identify actionable Kaizen topics for 2025 on a company level.
- Kaizen TED talks: Develop ideas for impactful TED-style talks that align with Kaizen principles and resonate with employees, stakeholders, and industry audiences in 2025.
- Congrex Motto: Brainstorming creative themes and activities for the Congrex 2025 Motto.
A Memorable Close
The event ended with a group presentation, the awarding of the Congrex 2024 motto and a relaxed atmosphere with a light-hearted aperitif where discussions continued. Employees left the event inspired and ready to continue the Kaizen principles in the new year.
