Bringing Patients Closer to Scientific Research
Expanding the Impact of Medical Congresses
How can the latest scientific knowledge reach those who need it most? A Patient Community Day brings patients and their communities closer to research by making complex medical topics accessible, relevant and engaging.
Launched alongside the ECTRIMS Congress in 2022, the initiative has grown into a successful international event. In 2025, it attracted 3,537 registrations from 89 countries, with 95% of participants finding the content relevant.
The format gives patients access to the latest scientific advances, clear explanations of complex topics and opportunities to interact with leading experts. Hybrid participation, multilingual translation and replay content can also make scientific knowledge available to a much wider audience.
Building on our experience with ECTRIMS, Congrex Switzerland is now offering this concept to other medical societies. Each event can be adapted to the organisation, medical field and community, helping to strengthen patient engagement, extend the reach of a congress and create lasting value beyond the event.
Then fix the remaining two reds manually: add one internal link to a relevant Congrex service/page and one outbound link, ideally to ECTRIMS. That should improve the Yoast score considerably without making the blog unnecessarily long.
