Swiss 3R’s Day
The one-day conference took place at the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the 3Rs principle described by Russel & Burch in 1959.
The scientific programme consisted of dedicated sessions on each of the 3Rs with invited lectures, a debate session about the use of replacement approaches to produce affinity-reagent antibodies, a keynote lecture on alternatives for educational purposes, and poster presentations.
The Swiss 3R Competence Centre (3RCC) promotes the 3Rs principle (replacement, reduction and refinement of animal experimentation) in Switzerland and facilitates its implementation in life sciences, focusing on research, education and communication.
