EACL
ECAL was held digitally on 19th – 23rd April 2021.
Congrex had the privilege of helping ECAL in the organisation and management of the 5-day event. The programme consisted of pre-recorded videos of talks, Q/A sessions for oral talks and student workshops. There were also three fantastic live-streamed talks that were made available later as videos.
There were fantastic social events held, including birds of a feather, affinity groups, mentoring activities, social games, and satellite events such as WINLP.
Anonymised papers were submitted and judged by the BPA committee. The top papers were awarded honourable mentions and best papers. Overall, there were 2 best papers and 3 honourable mentions given out!
The total number of digital delegates at the event reached over 1000.
