The Swiss bid was organised by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iapco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IAPCO<\/a> members Congrex Switzerland &amp; MCI Group with support from the Government of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bs.ch\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canton Basel-Stadt<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myswitzerland.com\/en-us\/switzerland-convention-incentive-bureau.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Swiss Convention &amp; Incentive Bureau<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/meeting.basel.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Basel Tourism &amp; Convention Bureau<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.ch\/en-US.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Congress Center Basel<\/a> and last but not least the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commune-de-montreux.ch\/fr\/accueil\/welcome.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Municipality of Montreux<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montreuxriviera.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Montreux Riviera<\/a> for the Council Meeting prior to the Annual Meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is not every day that an association celebrates its Golden Anniversary, so the event is sure to be popular amongst the members. There will be many surprises in store, as well as a high quality education programme and plenty of networking opportunities with a Swiss flavour!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">IAPCO has a strong legacy in Switzerland having organised the \u201cWolfsberg\u201d IAPCO Annual Seminars in this destination for over 40 years. This is only the second time the Annual Meeting will take place in Switzerland, the first being in 1988 in Zurich.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8222;The Government of the Canton Basel-Stadt is delighted that IAPCO has decided to hold its 50<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> Annual Meeting and General Assembly in 2019 in Basel and congratulates all supporting parties involved in the successful bid&#8220; says Councillor Christoph Brutschin. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Alain Pittet, Managing Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/congrex.com\">Congrex Switzerland<\/a>, adds:\u00a0&#8222;I am proud that we have been elected host of the IAPCO Annual Meeting in 2019.
